LucA*a Pulido is an artist I’ve not run across until just a few days ago,
when I found this new CD on the rack in a local store. After checking out
her website, it seems she’s been around for a few years and has garnered
some respectful reviews. The material on Luna menguante is a nice
combination of a variety of traditional Columbian song forms with
a touch of jazz and subtle electronics added here and there – all
served up with great taste and style. I’ll have to look around for
some of her earlier releases.
